Gloria Piaggio
Gloria Piaggio is coordinator of the Genoa Smart City project, which aims to create a city that knows how to exploit the potential of high technology in order to achieve sustainable development, effective mobility, clean and efficient transport, rational energy consumption, transparent and digital management, and a proactive and participatory society.
Having worked for the municipality of Genoa since 1995, she has been head of city marketing, head of a city district, head of the Museum Department and head of European projects. She worked earlier for Ente Colombo ’92, organising the Genoa International Exhibition where she acted as assistant to the CEO and as head of events, congress centre and protocol; and for the biggest Italian multinational agro-food company, Eridania, within the consolidated financial statements department.
She graduated magna cum laude in economics from Bocconi University, Milan.
